Long Island Rowing Championships Regatta

The 2018 Long Island Junior Rowing Championships Regatta will be held on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th. Click Here for regatta registration.

The regatta takes place in a limited venue.  We will always try to accomodate as many teams as possible.  Trailer parking will be first come first served.

1.  Passes will be mailed to coaches/team administrators
2. Shell Trailer Tow vehicles AND Chuck Wagon vehicles MUST have an ORANGE PASS
3.  It is up to those coaches/admins to determine who needs one from your team.
4.  A very few Pink passes will be given to get into the venue itself. Orange passes will be used for Boat Trailers and Chuck Wagons.
5.  A slightly few more Blue passes will be given out so you can bring a vehicle through the drop off area.  Drop off means just that.  You then park in the off site locations and take a shuttle bus to venue.
6.  We plan to assist drop offs with a couple golf cart shuttles from drop off point to regatta.
7.  You will be asked to turn around before the drop off if you are not in possession of pass, so save time and go straight to shuttle locations.  No Drop off at the turn around either.  That will slow flow of traffic on the only road in and out.
8. No pets/animals allowed anywhere in the park.
9. Tent areas will be assigned by regatta staff.  Do not expect larger than 10 x 20 area.  No pre-reservations were taken this year.  If there is additional space after all 10 x 20 are assigned a 20 x 20 will be given to teams with a combination of larger entry pool and general size of team.
10.  Any generators or cooking grills need to have tarp under them to not contaminate the beach.  You can be ticketed for this.
11.  Wet launching.  No docks.
12.  Lanes go from 1-8 and you must have a bow number on your boat to make your race count.
13. 1500 meter course.  Unless due to weather we have to shorten it.
14.  Open water.  Lanes are not buoyed but the course will be clearly buoyed.
