Olympic Style Rowing
Learn to row in eight person olympic shells. Program will include handling of shells and oars; fundamentals
of sweep (crew) rowing and also steering boat.
ELIGIBILITY: Adult class open to all, 18 and older. Youth must be 14 to 17 years of age. All must have
ability to swim. For safety, the Coach will make any final determination.
REGISTRATION: In person and online begins April 22 at 9 AM. For information and instructions call
(631) 351-3089. In person at the Parks and Recreation Office Town Hall, Huntington.
FEE:
Adult - $95 with Rec. ID per person
$105 without Rec. ID. per person
Youth- $90 with Rec. ID per person
$100 without Rec. ID. per person
DATES: Mondays thru Fridays. No raindates. No class on holidays - May 26 and July 4.
LOCATION: West Shore Road to Brown’s Road (Huntington Harbor) use parking lot entrance to Gold
Star Battalion Beach. Each vehicle receives a special beach pass to park. Park in the far lot then walk to the
waterfront and go left in front of pumpout building. Follow the seawall to the boathouse at Coindre Hall, Suffolk
County Park. Meet the coach in parking lot for the first class.
