Remembering Al Borghard

Al Borghard, considered by many to be the Father of Rowing on Long Island, passed away on November 16, 2011. Al was a founding member of the Sagamore Rowing Association, he started many of the high school rowing programs on Long Island and has touched the lives of thousands of rowers over the years. We will miss him.

Al's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Friends of Riverhead Crew, PO Box 136, Calverton, NY 11933.
