2001 Long Island Scholastic Championships
at Bayville Beach, Bayville, NY - May 5, 2001

The Long Island Scholastic Championships, sponsored by SRA, drew a large crowd to the Centre Island Beach. Over 600 cars were counted in the parking lot!
The May 5th Regatta was delayed for two hours because of a strong north wind. The races were relocated to the Centre Island Beach. Once the winds subsided, ideal conditions prevailed for the balance of the day.
Carrying the shell id also an acquired skill.
